Rocky Men’s Soccer Draws Oregon Tech 1-1

BILLINGS, Mont.- A late goal by Oregon Tech sealed the season's first draw for the Battlin' Bear men. 

How it Happened
Igor Soares got Rocky on the board in the 32nd minute after a great set-up pass from Raul Villar set Soares up for a header to secure his sixth goal of the season. Rocky's defense was stout through the first 45 minutes, holding Oregon Tech. 

Both teams found offensive momentum in the second half with seven shots a piece, but both sides missed on potential scoring opportunities throughout the final 45 minutes, as the match stayed at 1-0 through much of the half. That was until Lennyn Solis broke through with a breakaway following a Battlin' Bear turnover and curved a shot into the net to tie the match in the 84th minute. 

Rocky outshot the Owls 11-8, but Rocky totaled just two total shots on goal to Oregon Tech's three.
