Rocky Women’s Soccer Win Streak Halted After 1-0 Defeat to Northwest University

KIRKLAND, Wash.- Despite outshooting the Eagles by eight in the match, the Battlin' Bears could not find the net in a 1-0 loss on Sunday. 

How it Happened
Overall, the Rocky defense continued to impress, as goalkeeper Hannah Trumbull made seven saves on the afternoon. 

Northwest's lone goal came from a Battlin' Bear mistake, as Rocky attempted to clear a crossing pass into the box from the Eagles, only to have the ball rattle into their own goal. 

Overall, the Battlin' Bears had opportunities, totaling 18 shot attempts, 12 of which were on goal, but none found the net, as Northwest goalkeeper Katie Snow tallied 12 saves to shut Rocky out and preserve the Eagle victory. 

Morgan Maack and Charlize Davis each tallied four total shots, while five total Battlin' Bears had two or more shot attempts on the afternoon.
