The Battlin' Bears return home for a big home contest against front-runner University of Providence on Thursday evening before traveling to Dillon to take on Montana Western on Saturday.

Record Broken
Senior Makenna Bushman became the all-time leader in career kills on Saturday versus MSU-Northern. She passed Ahlea Billis, who totaled 1,331 kills. The senior from Joliet has spiked at least 240 kills in her four seasons as a Battlin' Bear, and Bushman is just three kills away from her third season with at least 300 total kills.

Nothing Gets Down
Despite the five-set loss to Carroll College, the Battlin' Bears defensive back-line was excellent, tallying a season-high 106 digs. Libero Brooke Ark had a team-high 28, while Lindsay Lawrence totaled a career-high 24.

Scouting the Argos
University of Providence had their four-game conference win streak snapped this past Saturday in a five-set loss to Montana Western. Setter Bella Thompson was named the Frontier Conference Setter of the Week for the seventh time this week and leads the NAIA in assists per set, while right side Nina Janic was named the Attacker of the Week and is the Frontier Conference leader in kills per set this season with 3.71.

Scouting the Bulldogs
After a slow start to conference play, the 17th-ranked Bulldogs have rattled off four straight conference victories, as Rocky will look to hand Montana Western their first loss on their home court this season. Senior outside hitter Jazi Smith also surpassed the career kills record last week, as she nears 1,000 career kills while ranking fifth in kills per set this season at 3.10.
