Rocky Women’s Soccer Earns Shutout Victory Over Multnomah 4-0 on Senior Day

BILLINGS, Mont.- The Battlin' Bears held Multnomah without a shot attempt in a 4-0 victory in their final home match of the regular season, clinching their spot in the Cascade Conference Tournament.

How it Happened

The Rocky women wasted no time getting on the scoreboard on Sunday. In the second minute, Charlize Davis dribbled the length of the penalty box before cutting inside to draw in the opposing goalie. Davis alertly ditched the ball to teammate Mya Maack, who cashed in on a wide-open tap-in goal.

Davis would take it herself on the next goal, breaking her defender down before firing a shot from just outside the penalty box that knocked off the post and into the net for Rocky's second goal of the afternoon.

The Battlin' Bears tagged on one more goal in the first half, as Morgan Hayes began the play in the back of the formation, dishing the ball off to Emma Lensing before taking the ball back, dribbling through multiple defenders, and finally firing a shot into the left corner of the goal to give Rocky a 3-0 lead going into the halftime break.

Mya Maack would provide an insurance goal in the second half, as Georgia Dean sent a pass into the box, where Maack would slide past the extended goalkeeper before firing in her second goal of the afternoon and her sixth of the season.

Four goals would be plenty, as the Battlin' Bears held Multnomah without a shot for the entirety of the match. In total, Rocky outshot the Lions 24-0 to pick up their sixth conference victory and secure their spot in the Cascade Conference Tournament.
