Game Notes

On the Road Again
The Battlin' Bears will head to Dickinson, North Dakota, for their fifth and sixth games of record of the season as they compete in the Sam Milanovich Classic.

Outscore Your Opponent
The Battlin' Bear offense is off to a torrid start, averaging 88.8 points per game through four games, the top mark in the Frontier Conference and the 29th in the NAIA this season.  The scoring output has been a group effort, as no qualified Battlin' Bear ranks inside the top ten individually in points per game in the Frontier Conference.

Player of the Week
Junior forward Jaylon Lee was named the Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Week this past Monday. Lee had a stellar three-game stretch, totaling 12 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks against MSUB, 20 points and 15 rebounds against Benedictine-Mesa, and totaled three blocks in just 15 minutes of play against Northwest Indian College.

Scouting the Blue Hawks
Dickinson State began the season with a 2-4 overall record, splitting its matchups against MSU Northern and Montana Western last weekend. The Blue Hawks return their top two scorers from last season, guards Kose Egbule and Trey Stevens.

Scouting the Vikings
Valley City State enters the weekend with a 6-2 record this season, but will look to shake losses in their last two games. Their offense has been efficient, combining to shoot 50% from the field as a team, led by guard Lamar Grayson, averaging 18.0 points per game on 62.7 % shooting from the field.
