Rocky Women’s Soccer Draws 1-1 To Conclude Regular Season Action; Enters CCC Tournament as the Fifth Seed

EUGENE, Ore.- After 80 minutes of scoreless action, Emma Lensing tallied her 10th goal of the season just 40 seconds after Bushnell got into the score column to lead Rocky to a 1-1 tie in Eugene. 

How it Happened
Rocky's offensive pressure was evident throughout the day, as they outshot the Beacons 20-9 overall in the match. 

After over 80 minutes of scoreless action, Bushnell broke through with the game's first goal, as Emily Puita was able to boot a high pass into a looping shot that made it over Rocky's defense and into the goal. 

The Battlin' Bears wasted no time in their response. After Rocky controlled a clear by the Beacons, Emma Lensing took the ball herself through multiple Bushnell defenders and eventually shot it into the left corner of the net, bringing the score to 1-1, which would hold through the final five minutes. 

Lensing would lead the match with eight shot attempts, putting five on goal. Hannah Trumbull tallied three saves on the afternoon. 

Bushnell's Lexi Bates impressed on the afternoon, totaling eight saves in the tie.
