Rocky Ski Concludes Competition at Steamboat Springs

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo.- The Battlin' Bears took on top NCAA competition in Colorado over the weekend.

Adam Wrenkler was the top male Battlin' Bear to finish on Thursday's Men's Giant Slalom competition with a total time of 1:56.62. William Mjelde followed shortly behind with a total time of 1:57.19. In the women's competition, Synne Kvinlog finished 32nd overall with a total time of 2:04.5. Hilde Iren Sato finished with a total time of 2:05.34 and Reese Harman finished with a total time of 2:23.36.

Friday's action saw a second day of giant slalom competition. Adam Wrenkler was the top-finishing Battlin' Bear again with a total time of 2:04.07. William Mjelde finished with a total time of 2:05.14, Mads Fondevik Syversen finished with a total time of 2:08.21, and Felix Besser finished with a total time of 2:11.54. Synne Kvinlog was the top women's finisher for Rocky for the second straight day, finishing with a total time of 1:56.36. Hilde Iren Sato finished shortly behind her with a total time of 1:58.72.

The final day of competition featured two runs of slalom, the second of which was a unique evening run under the lights at Howelsen Hill. Felix Besser was the lone male to finish both runs for Rocky, finishing with a total time of 1:32.83. On the women's side, Reese Harman finished 37th overall with a total time of 1:47.51.

The Battlin' Bears will stay in Colorado, beginning competition on Monday in the University of Denver Invitational.
