Zuleta Finishes Tied for Sixth Overall to Conclude NAIA Women’s Golf Championship

SILVIS, Ill.— Valentina Zuleta finished tied for sixth overall after an impressive final round to conclude the 2023-24 season for Rocky women's golf.

Day 4 Recap

Valentina Zuleta put together a strong final round at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships. She shot her best score of the week to finish 75-78-75-72 (300) to tie for sixth overall with Sydney Hermann of Dalton State. Her finishing score is an 11-stroke improvement from a season ago and ranks as the second-best finish at nationals in program history, behind Eyrn Ellis' +9 (297) finish in 2019.

Zuleta's performance was notable in the tournament. At seven-over-par, she shot the fourth-best scoring average on Par 4s, and her 47 pars tied for the second-most in the field.

Hoi Ki Lau of Keiser University earned the individual victory at TPC Deere Run, finishing 79-68-71-71 (289), leading Keiser to the team title with a 318-290-296-290 (1,194) score.

The Battlin' Bears, as a team, finished 20th overall with a team score of 320-333 (653). Although they missed the second-round cut, Zuleta finished within the top six non-qualified players after the second round to advance to the final two rounds at TPC Deere Run.

The Rocky women conclude the season with back-to-back finishes inside the top 20 at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships, a third consecutive conference title, the RRAC Coach of the Year (Nathan Bailey), and the RRAC Player of the Year (Valentina Zuleta).
