BILLINGS, Mont.- The Battlin' Bears travel to Carroll College to begin Frontier Conference action with a Saturday afternoon contest in Helena.

Conference Opener
The Battlin' Bears play their first of seven conference matchups this season in Helena on Saturday. Rocky finished 4-4 in conference play last season.

Rocky evened their record with a 27-12 victory over MSU-Northern in their home opener. The Battlin' Bears outgained the Lights 344-202 in total yardage, including 216 rushing yards for the Battlin' Bears. The Rocky defense held the Lights scoreless in the second half, only giving up a touchdown on the opening drive of the day.

Scouting the Fighting Saints
Carroll College began its season this past Saturday with a 30-22 loss to #15-ranked Montana Tech. The Saints return four-year starter Jack Prka at quarterback and feature transfer running back Xzavier Ford, who rushed for 151 yards in the loss against the Orediggers. The Saints outgained Tech offensively in the loss 370-307 but were dominated in time of possession, 50:02 - 33:00.

No Fly Zone
Rocky's defense has continued its stout pass defense from last season, holding its opponents to less than 100 yards passing per game so far this season. Linebackers Mason Browning and Cade Reynolds each grabbed their first career interceptions in the win over MSU-Northern.

Finding the Endzone
Senior receiver Joseph Dwyer is one of just three receivers in the Frontier Conference this season to have multiple touchdown receptions after tallying one in each of the first two games. Dwyer leads the entire conference in receptions (14) and receiving yardage (178) following the season's first two games.

Diverse Passing Attack
Graedyn Buell leads the conference by a wide margin in completions this season with 39 total, which includes completed passes to eight different receivers, seven of whom have two or more catches so far this season.

Turnovers -> Points
The Battlin' Bears forced three turnovers in their 27-12 victory over MSU-Northern, including two interceptions and a forced fumble on a punt. Rocky converted all three turnovers into two field goals and a touchdown.
