Rocky Women’s Soccer Bests Walla Walla 5-0 at Home

BILLINGS, Mont.- Rocky Women's Soccer left no doubt at Wendy's Field, cruising to their third consecutive victory, defeating Walla Walla 5-0.

Over their past three contests, the Battlin' Bears have outscored their opponents 15-2, totaling five goals in each of their past three victories. The Battlin' Bears totaled a staggering 43 shots in the win and allowed just one total shot attempt on the afternoon.

How it Happened

While the Battlin' Bears dominated possession and the match overall in the first half, holding Walla Walla without a shot and putting up 21 of their own, Rocky only found the net once, as Georgia Dean found the feet of freshman Mia Daskalovska, who dribbled around two defenders and fired in a goal in the 28th minute to give the Battlin' Bears a 1-0, which held through halftime.

The floodgates opened for the Rocky offense in the second half, as the Battlin' Bears scored four times in just over seven minutes of game time. Mia Daskalovska was the first to strike, finding the top right corner of the net after a pass from Gracie Clarkson in the 50th minute.

Emma Lensing would follow with back-to-back goals in under 40 seconds of game time, her 12th and 13th goals of the season. Charlize Davis would put the cherry on top with the fifth and final goal in the 57th minute, as the Battlin' Bears would run away with a 5-0 victory.

Rocky totaled 43 shot attempts in the victory, a new program record, besting the previous record of 41 (Sept. 17th, 2011 vs Mount Marty). They put 20 of their shots on frame, the third most in program history in a single game.

The Battlin' Bear defense was equally as impressive, allowing just one shot attempt on the afternoon, coming on a free kick from just outside the penalty box in the second half.

Five different Battlin' Bears recorded assists, including Grace Curnow, Mia Daskalovska, Charlize Davis, Gracie Clarkson, and Georgia Dean. Seventeen different Rocky players attempted a shot in the victory.
