Rocky Women’s Soccer Falls to No. 5-Ranked College of Idaho 2-0

BILLINGS, Mont.- Rocky Women's Soccer battled with the fifth-ranked Yotes, but ultimately fell 2-0 to the defending CCC Champions. 

How it Happened
The Yotes struck first in the contest, after Gianna Yslava sent a deep crossing pass for Abbi Roubidoux, who shifted around a pair of Battlin' Bear defenders before sinking her league-leading tenth goal of the season. 

The Battlin' Bear defense was up to the task for much of the match, despite the Yotes firing 22 total shots. Rocky held just nine of them on frame, while Matea Vernon saved six total shots on the evening. 

No. 5-ranked College of Idaho would seal the contest in the 84th minute, as Natasja Davis recovered a loose ball, turned herself around, and fired a shot into the top left corner of the net from 40 yards out, as College of Idaho won 2-0. 

Despite the shot differential being 22-5, the Battlin' Bears put four of their shots on net and defended well to keep the game within reach.
