Depth Gains Experience in Rocky’s Exhibition Matchup Against MSU Billings

BILLINGS, Mont.- Twelve different Battlin' Bears logged more than 10 minutes of game time as Rocky fell to MSU Billings in a Rimrock Rivalry exhibition.

The Battlin' Bears gear up for a pair of top-25 matchups this weekend in Helena, taking on No. 15 Oregon Tech on Friday and No. 7 Lewis-Clark State College on Saturday.

How It Happened

The Yellowjackets jumped to a hot start, snagging six offensive rebounds in the first quarter while also taking 13 trips to the free-throw line, converting 11, to take a nine-point lead going into the second quarter. MSUB extended its lead with a trio of three-pointers to close the half with a 19-point lead.

The second half featured new faces for the Battlin' Bears, with the starters on the bench for the majority of the final 20 minutes of play. The exhibition contest gave the Battlin' Bear depth valuable experience, which eventually ended in a 73-45 defeat.

Notable Statistics

Brenna Linse led the Battlin' Bear scorers with 13 points in 14 minutes played, hitting all five free throw attempts. Freshman Lexy Burnham finished with six points and seven rebounds, and Isabelle Heggem added six points and eight rebounds. Gabriella Biittner also tallied six points with a pair of three-pointers.
