BILLINGS, Mont.- Rocky Women's Basketball earned their third consecutive victory with a strong effort on both sides of the ball to defeat Bismarck State on Saturday evening.

Isabelle Heggem went back-to-back nights totaling career-highs, leading Rocky with a 28-point, 11-rebound double-double in their third consecutive victory.

How It Happened

After a back-and-forth to open the contest, Isabelle Heggem would spark a 12-3 run for the Battlin' Bears, scoring eight early points to push Rocky to a 16-7 lead ahead of the first quarter media timeout. Both teams cooled off to close the quarter, as the Battlin' Bears held an eight-point lead headed into the second quarter.

Rocky's offense heated up to open the second quarter, hitting six of their first seven shots from the field, extending a double-digit lead. The Battlin' Bears would cool off to end the quarter, but still maintained an eight-point advantage headed into halftime.

Despite early turnovers in the second half, Rocky would control the contest on both ends of the court, scoring on six of their first eight shots en route to a 16-6 run to open an 18-point advantage midway through the third quarter. Rocky's defense would seal the Mystics' offense to close the quarter, holding Bismarck State without a field goal for the final three minutes of the third quarter to extend a 17-point advantage into the fourth quarter.

Again, it was the Battlin' Bear defense that set up their success in the fourth quarter, holding the Mystics to two-of-13 from the field, while piling on 19 points in the quarter, 12 of which came in the paint, to seal a Battlin' Bear victory at home, 85-61.
