BILLINGS, Mont.- Freshman David Russell was named a Third Team All-American, the NAIA announced Tuesday. 

David Russell, a freshman from Arundel, Australia, was the leading goal scorer in the Cascade Collegiate Conference during the regular season, scoring 13 total. He also added five assists, and his 31 total points led the conference during the regular season. Russell scored three or more goals in two different games this season as the leader of Rocky's offensive attack. In addition to being named Offensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, Russell was also named First Team All-Conference. 

He becomes the first Battlin' Bear to earn All-American honors since his head coach, Milo Downey, in 2021.
