BILLINGS, Mont.- The Battlin' Bears earned a pair of CCC Weekly Awards, as Emma Lensing earned Offensive Player of the Week, while freshman Matea Vernon gathered Defensive Player of the Week honors.  

Lensing, a senior from Billings, Montana, stood out for the Battlin' Bears over the weekend, scoring four of Rocky's five goals in a pair of victories in Arizona, including a hat trick against Benedictine Mesa. She tallied a .600 shot on goal percentage and scored four goals on just ten total shot attempts. Lensing enters Monday tied for the lead in goals scored for the CCC. 

The honor marks Lensing's first career Player of the Week honor. 

Vernon, a freshman from Gaston, Oregon, shined in her first two collegiate starts. Vernon saved all five shots she faced over the weekend, leading the Battlin' Bears to a pair of shutout victories. 

This is Vernon's first career Player of the Week honor.
