Rocky Volleyball got two weeks to regroup and recover following their preseason trip to Sioux City. Kaitlyn Wood led the team offensively in Rocky's four opening games, totaling 24 kills and 1.71 kills per set. Ella Kincaid and Josie West also totaled 22 kills apiece to total a 1.57 k/s pace. Defensively, Zoey Albert led the backline with 40 total digs and 3.08 digs per set, while Gabriella Panzetta totaled 0.92 blocks per set from her middle block position. Freshman Feline Mulder had a standout performance, totaling eight total blocks against Morningside in a four-set defeat.

Scouting the Competition
The Battlin' Bears begin their weekend against (RV) Carroll College, who have started their season 5-3, including a three-set sweep of No. 21-ranked Nelson University. Junior Lauren Heuiser earned an Offensive Player of the Week honor two weeks ago, leading the Frontier Conference with 84 total kills this season. The Battlin' Bears have won six of the last eight matchups between these two teams.
Rocky returns home for a Friday evening matchup with MSU-Northern, which holds an early-season record of 2-4. Freshman Lexi Jones has stood out for the Skylights, leading the team with 2.63 kills per set.
The weekend concludes with No. 10-ranked University of Providence, boasting a 7-1 non-conference record. The Argos lead the Frontier in digs per set and blocks per set, proving to be a formidable defense to score against to start this season.
