BILLINGS, Mont.- Following commanding team and individual victories in Dickinson last week, Battlin' Bear golfers Kristjan Burkelca and Grace Metcalf were named the Frontier Conference Golfers of the Week. 

Kristjan Burkelca, a redshirt junior from Domzale, Slovenia, was selected as the Men's Golfer of the Week.

He set a new program record in Dickinson last week, finishing 17 under par 199 to win the Dickinson State Invitational by five strokes.  The three rounds were hosted by Dickinson State (N.D.). 

Burkelca shot 3-under-par 69 in the first round and fired a pair of rounds of 7-under-par 65.  He led the Battlin' Bears to a 19-stroke team victory to open their conference schedule. 

This is Burkelca's sixth career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men's Golfer-of-the-Week honor.

Grace Metcalf, a senior from Arlington, Wash., was selected as the Women's Golfer of the Week.

Metcalf tied for the second-best score in Rocky Mountain's program history, totaling a four-under-par 140 to win the Dickinson State Invitational.  She shot two-under-par 70 in both rounds to win the meet and lead the No. 23-ranked Battlin' Bears to a ten-stroke victory. 

This is Metcalf's third Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women's Golfer-of-the-Week honor of her career.
