Rocky Women’s Soccer Blanks Evergreen State 2-0

OLYMPIA, Wash.- A dominant team performance kept Rocky Women's Soccer unbeaten in conference play following a 2-0 victory on the road Saturday. 

How it Happened
Rocky's defense did their part through the first half, allowing just one shot attempt by the Geoducks in the opening 45 minutes. 

Just six minutes into the contest, Emma Lensing totaled her eighth goal of the season through six games. The senior has scored at least one goal in every game so far this season. 

The defense impressed again to close out the contest, again holding Evergreen State to just one shot attempt in the second half. Georgia Dean provided an insurance goal in the 73rd minute, as the Battlin' Bears cruised to a 2-0 victory over Evergreen State College. 

Rocky controlled possession throughout, outshooting the Geoducks 17-2 overall, including a 10-1 edge on shots on goal. Emma Lensing and Georgia Dean both contributed goals and tied for a game-high five shots each. 

Matea Vernon saved the lone shot she faced in the victory.
