(RV) Rocky Men’s Basketball Secures Weekend Sweep with 74-65 Win Over MSU-Northern

HAVRE, Mont.- Royce Robinson's season-high 23 points improved Rocky's road record to 7-0 and held their tie for the lead in the Frontier Conference standings.

The win marks the sixth straight conference win to open up the calendar year, as the Battlin' Bears have continued to hold their opponents under 70 points in each of those victories.

How It Happened

The Lights would take an early lead through the first five minutes of play, as MSU-Northern sank their first six shots from the field. A pair of three-pointers from Kyle Jones off the bench helped spark Rocky's offense, responding with a 12-2 run to bring Rocky back ahead by two. The Battlin' Bears took a swing of momentum heading into the locker room, finishing the final six minutes of the half on a 16-4 run, 14 of those points coming from both Royce Robinson and Omari Nesbit, to give Rocky a ten-point lead at half.

MSU-Northern would scrape together runs throughout the second half, but never trimmed their deficit lower than seven points, helping secure Rocky's sixth consecutive win.
