BILLINGS, Mont. - Redshirt freshman defensive back Jayson Cady and redshirt junior kicker Jordan Legg both earned their first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week honors after Rocky Football's dominant 48-14 victory over MSU-Northern on Saturday.

Cady, a native of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, delivered a standout performance in the secondary, pulling down two interceptions and leading the Battlin' Bears with seven tackles. He returned his first interception for an 80-yard touchdown, the longest pick-six in the Frontier Conference this season. He later halted a potential MSU-Northern scoring drive by snagging his second interception in the end zone.

Building on his first career interception in Rocky's road victory over Dickinson State the prior week, Cady now has three interceptions across his last two games, tying for the second-most in the Frontier Conference this season. He has spearheaded a relentless Rocky defense that has forced 10 turnovers over the past two contests, earning him the Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Week award.

Legg, a junior kicker/punter from Mesa, Arizona, posted a sensational all-around special teams performance against the Lights. He was a perfect 6-for-6 on PATs, averaged 41.67 yards on three punts, and drilled two field goals, highlighted by a school-record 52-yard kick before halftime that ties for the second-longest in the NAIA this season.

Legg has excelled since taking over full duties in the kicking game for the Battlin' Bears, ranking second in the Frontier Conference in yards per punt while leading Rocky in total scoring with 38 points this season. The performance secured Legg his first career Frontier Conference Special Teams Player of the Week accolade.
