LOOKOUT PASS, Idaho.- Rocky Ski continued to shine in USCSA action, securing momentum heading into USCSA Western Regionals this week. 

Women's Slalom Results

The Battlin' Bear women swept the podium on Saturday, led by a dominant individual victory by Elisabeth Grimkelsrud, recording the fastest times of each run, 48.6 seconds on the first run and 57.05 seconds on the second run, totaling a time of 1:45.65. Following Grimkelsrud was Linnea Olesen (2nd; 1:48.76) and Franziska Bonn (3rd; 1:48.79), while Jenny Sjotun finished in fifth place with a time of 1:50.91. 

Courtney Bumpers (7th; 1:52.55) and Paige Heinz (10th; 2:00.88) also finished top-ten overall on Saturday. Mikayla Murolo rounded out the Battlin' Bear competitors in 31st place with a time of 2:22.95. 

The Battlin' Bears cruised to a commanding day one victory with a total time of 5:23.2, defeating runner-up Montana State by 35 seconds. 

On Sunday's slalom competition, the Rocky women recorded four more top-ten finishes, led by Franziska Bonn in second place with a total time of 1:49.4, followed by Linnea Olesen in third with a total time of 1:49.77. Courtney Bumpers (6th; 1:52.01) and Klara Almqvist (7th; 1:52.16) rounded out the top-ten finishers, with Paige Heinz (13th; 1:57.58) and Malia Grantor (15th; 1:58.89) completing Rocky's finishers on Sunday.

The Battlin' Bears earned their second team victory of the weekend, recording a team time of 5:31.40. 

Men's Slalom Results

The Battlin' Bear men recorded a pair of dominant victories in slalom to round out conference action. In Saturday's meet, Rocky swept the top four places, led by Jules Clerice in first, with a total time of 1:26.90, followed by Fredrik Straume (2nd; 1:27.83), Aniol Torres (3rd; 1:29.09), and William Mjelde (4th; 1:31.85). Ashton Frewell also turned in a top-ten place, finishing seventh (1:33.91). 

Landon Marquis (13th; 1:39.24) and Oliver Sapak (25th; 1:51.73) rounded out the Rocky finishers on Saturday. 

Rocky earned a team victory with a total time of 4:23.82 in Saturday's slalom. 

On Sunday, Rocky continued to command the field, earning six of the top seven individual places. Dawn Bruin and Jules Clerice shared the individual title, both finishing with a total time of 1:36.65, followed by Fredrik Straume (3rd; 1:36.92), William Mjelde (5th; 1:40.13), Zachary Bion (6th; 1:41.48), and Nick Tibro (7th; 1:42.04). 

Oliver Sapak rounded out Rocky's competitors with a 25th-place finish and a time of 1:57.22. 

Again, Rocky earned a team title on Sunday, totaling a team time of 4:53.70.

The Battlin' Bears begin postseason action on Thursday, competing in the USCSA Western Regional Championships at Brundage Mountain in Idaho.
