RED LODGE, Mont. - Led by a pair of individual victories from
Alexander Sehlberg, Rocky Mountain College's men's ski racing team swept the podium in two giant slalom races during the Stano Cup.
On Friday, Sehlberg took first with runs of 47.45 and 50.68 for a total time of 1:38.13. Teammate
Ludvig Bye finished in second with a combined time of 1:39.15 while
Luke Allen took third on a total time of 1:40.43.
Five other Battlin' Bears finished within the top ten.
Adam Garrigus took fourth with a time of 1:41.74.
Filip Johansson took sixth with a combined time of 1:41.97.
Oscar Dalmalm finished in seventh with a total time of 1:42.92 while
Cooper Mann took eighth with a combined time of 1:43.83.
Jacob Drake finished in tenth on a total time of 1:44.00.
Only two collegiate teams raced in the event. The Battlin' Bears took first with 297.71 points ahead of Montana State University's 339.64.
On Saturday, Selhberg once again took home the individual victory with runs of 46.11 and 46.57 for a combined time of 1:32.68. Finishing the first run in 46.10, the fastest of the day, Dalmalm improved to a second place finish on a combined time of 1:33.48. Bye took third with a total time of 1:35.22.
Johansson took sixth on a time of 1:37.22 while
Adam Garrigus finished in seventh with a time of 1:38.53. Racing down the slopes for a combined time of 1:39.38, Mann took ninth while
Jacob Drake took tenth for the second day in a row on a time of 1:40.33.
Rocky took first on Saturday with a score of 281.38 ahead of Montana State's 337.98
Rocky will wrap up the Stano Cup tomorrow with a slalom race.
