No. 25 Rocky Women’s Basketball Dominates San Diego Christian 73-33 Friday Evening

SAN DIEGO, Calif., Nov. 11, 2022- No. 25 ranked Rocky Women's Basketball left no doubt in San Diego, defeating the Hawks 73-33. 

Things were competitive in the first quarter, but Rocky took a lead on a pair of free throws from Morgan Baird with 2:41 left in the first quarter and the Battlin' Bears never gave the lead back. 

Rocky's tremendous defensive display was highlighted by only allowing two points in the second quarter propelling them to a 31-13 lead at half time.  

The Battlin' Bears out-rebounded San Diego Christian 62-35 in the victory. Rocky was led by 16 points, six rebounds, and three blocks from Morgan Baird. Ky Buell added 10 points and two assists and Dominique Stephens finished with seven points and nine rebounds, including four offensive rebounds. 

Rocky (2-2) will take on No. 19 ranked Vanguard University on Saturday at 1pm. Tomorrow's game will be played at Grossmont College in El Cajon, California.
