Women's Soccer Game Notes

Final Homestand
Rocky will play their final home games of the 2024 season on Friday and Sunday afternoons. This season, the Battlin' Bears hold a 4-1 record on Wendy's Field, including wins in their last three home games.

Stifling Defense
The Rocky women have been locked down as a defensive unit over the past few weeks. This season, the Battlin' Bears allow just 1.18 goals per game, the fourth-best mark in the Cascade Conference. Excluding an own goal in their loss to Northwest, the Battlin' Bears have allowed just two goals in their five matches, featuring three shutouts.

Offensive Pressure
Junior Emma Lensing ranks second in the Cascade this season with 45 total shot attempts. Lensing leads the Battlin' Bears with six goals this season, which ties her for eighth in the conference.

Scouting the Knights
Warner Pacific comes into Friday's matchup with a 4-8-2 overall record and a 2-6-1 record in conference play.  Junior Kiya Gramps is the offensive leader with five total goals this season, including a stretch of three straight games earlier in the season with a goal. Warner Pacific has shuffled their goalkeeping duties, as senior Gwenyth Williford has made the past two starts in goal after beginning the season as a defender.

Scouting the Lions
Multnomah enters the weekend with a 5-6-4 overall record and a 3-4-2 record in conference play. They will seek their first win since October 5th and just the second over Rocky in program history. Senior goalkeeper Jennifer Alvillar has been one of the best in the conference this season, with a save percentage of 0.856, the second-best in the conference, while only allowing 13 goals on 77 shots faced.

Men's Soccer Game Notes

Final Homestand
Rocky will play its final two home games this weekend against Warner Pacific on Friday and Multnomah on Sunday. The Battlin' Bear men have been better on the road than at home this season, with a record of 1-2-1 at home compared to a 4-3-1 record on the road.

Points at a Premium
The Battlin' Bears begin the weekend in a three-way tie for seventh place in the conference standings. With four games left in the regular season, the Battlin' Bears will need a solid finish to secure a spot in the conference tournament, which only admits the top eight.

Offense in Bunches
In Rocky's 5-4 rollercoaster victory over Evergreen St., the Battlin' Bears tied their season-highs in goals (5) and shot attempts (22). Transversely, they held Northwest to only nine shot attempts, the fifth time this season Rocky has held an opponent to ten or fewer shot attempts.

Scouting the Knights
Last season's No. 2 seed in the conference tournament enters Friday's matchup with a 10-4-0 overall record and a 6-3-0 record in conference play. Warner Pacific has had limited matches on the road, with just a 3-2 overall record away from Portland this season. Junior Pedro Calderon has been one of the best scorers in the conference this season, totaling ten goals, including at least one goal scored in each of his last five games.

Scouting the Lions
Multnomah has surged in the second half of the season, holding the longest unbeaten streak in the conference with six straight matches without a loss. Senior forward Paul Einero is the conference leader in goals scored this season with 12, including a hot stretch as of later where Einero has totaled six goals over the past four games played.
