Rocky Track and Field Starts Strong at Bobcat PReview Meet in Bozeman

BOZEMAN, Mont.- Rocky Track and Field started their season on the right foot with strong performances to open their 2024-25 season.  

Women's Results

Charlize Davis picked up where she left off in her strong 2023-24 indoor season, recording a personal best in the 60-meter, crossing the finish line in 7.95 seconds to place 12th overall. Her finish was tied for the eighth fastest time in program history. Davis also placed fourth in the 200-meter with a time of 27.44 seconds and tenth overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.11 seconds, the second fastest time in program history. 

Baylee Young made a strong collegiate debut on the track, finishing fifth with a time of 27.80. 

Men's Results

Jay Jetmore impressed to begin his senior campaign, taking third overall in the pole vault with a final mark of 4.75 meters. Jetmore cleared 4.60 meters and 4.75 meters on his first attempts before bowing out after three attempts at 4.90 meters. 

Braden Tomlin followed in eighth place overall with a vault of 4.60 meters. 

Ryan LaMere impressed in his first collegiate race, finishing 19th overall in the 60-meter with a time of 7.13 seconds. His finish was the second fastest in program history behind Brenden Leaming's record of 7.07 seconds in 2019. LaMere also finished 14th in the 200-meter with a time of 23.98. 

Drifter Skillicorn finished with the fourth-fastest 200-meter time in program history, crossing the line in 23.37 seconds. He also placed 10th in the long jump with a top mark of 5.95 meters. 

Aiden Lantis finished 11th overall in the men's long jump with a final mark of 5.85 meters and 35th in the 60 meters with a time of 7.45 seconds. 

Chad Lindsey placed 10th with a time of 23.67 seconds in the 200-meter and 27th in the 60-meter with a time of 7.31 seconds. 

Up Next

Rocky Track and Field will be back in action after the New Year, with a pair of meets hosted by Black Hills State University on January 18th and 25th.
