GAINESVILLE, Fla.- Maya Pearcy raced to the fastest preliminary time of the field on Friday to advance to Saturday's finals, while Charlize Davis and Logan Hughes concluded their indoor season in Florida. 

Maya Pearcy earned a strong finish in the 800-meter prelims, winning her heat and turning in the fastest run of the day, crossing the finish line at 2:10.99. She will advance to the finals on Saturday, competing at 12:20 pm (MT). 

Charlize Davis finished twelfth in the 60-meter high hurdle prelims with a time of 8.78 seconds, the fifth-best time in program history. She finished fifth in her heat, missing the finals by under three tenths of a second. 

Logan Hughes made his NAIA National Championships debut in the weight throw, placing 22nd overall with a throw of 17.43 meters (57 feet, 2 ¼ inches), the second-best toss of his career.
