Rocky Ski Continues Dominance in USCSA Competition on Monday

WINTER PARK, Colo.- The Battlin' Bear women finished six of the top seven individuals, while the Rocky men tallied five of the top eight finishers in another strong outing for Rocky Ski in Colorado. 

Men's Results

The Rocky men finished with the top three overall individuals, led by Fredrik Straume, who finished at 2:05.75. Jules Clerice finished with the fastest overall run on the day with a 59.24-second run to open the day, as he placed second with a total time of 1:06.80. William Mjelde (T-3rd place - 2:08.58), Elio Turnes (6th place - 2:09.96), and Zachary Bion (8th place - 2:11.85) all also turned in top ten overall finishes on Monday. 

The Rocky men finished first overall for the second straight day and second straight conference weekend. 

Women's Results

Eulalie Giraud continued her impressive start to her Battlin' Bear career, grabbing another dominant individual victory with a total time of 2:08.12. Synne Kvinlog followed shortly behind, taking second overall at 2:12.95. Four more Battlin' Bears finished inside the top seven overall, which included Klara Almquist (4th place - 2:20.60), Elisabeth Grimkelsrud (5th place - 2:23.20), Jenny Sjøtun (6th place - 2:25.41) and Reese Harman (7th place - 2:26.27). Sara Akerstrom rounded out the Rocky competitors with an 11th-place finish, totaling a time of 2:32.34. 

The dominant team performance netted the Battlin' Bears another team victory.

The Battlin' Bears return home for their final home competition of the season in the Northern Division USSA Qualifier Cup at Red Lodge Mountain beginning Friday, January 24th.
