LOOKOUT PASS, Idaho.- Caleb Unger and Eulalie Giraud secured dominant individual victories to lead the Battlin' Bears on day one at Lookout Pass. 

The Battlin' Bears competed in two runs of Giant Slalom on Saturday morning and will return on Sunday to compete in a pair of Slalom runs. 

Men's Results

Caleb Unger led four Battlin' Bear individuals that finished in the top five overall, taking the crown with a combined time of 1:41.98, nearly three seconds ahead of the next fastest competitor. Fredrik Straume followed in second place, totaling a time of 1:44.87. Zachary Bion (1:46.58) and William Mjelde (1:48.14) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. 

Other Battlin' Bear finishers included Austin Johnson in 24th (2:02.09) and Oliver Sapak in 30th (2:08.85). 

The Rocky men took home a team victory with a combined time of 5:13.43. 

Women's Results

The Battlin' Bear women dominated the field in their team victory, finishing seven in the top eight overall. Eulalie Giraud tallied the top finish with a combined time of 1:40.84, including an eye-popping 46.05-second run on her first attempt, nearly three seconds ahead of the next fastest run of the day. 

Other Battlin' Bears in the top eight included Synne Kvinlog in second (1:44.33), Elisabeth Grimkelsrud in third (1:45.12), Klara Almquist in fifth (1:49.36), Malia Grantor in sixth (1:50.03), Jenny Sjotun in seventh (1:50.24), and Sara Akerstrom in eighth (1:51.05). 

Rocky's dominant performance featured a team victory with a combined time of 5:10.29.
