3/1/2025 9:23:00 PM

GAINESVILLE, Fla.- Jay Jetmore, Braden Tomlin, and the Women's DMR team of Kallyn Wilkins, Tyne Stokes, Maya Pearcy, and Grace Timm were recognized as All-Americans after their performances on Saturday in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

After entering the week with the 13th-fastest entry time and running the ninth-fastest time in the preliminaries, the Battlin' Bears Women's Distance Medley Relay team shocked the field with a fourth-place finish in Saturday's DMR finals. Their time of 11:55.80 becomes the first sub-12-minute finish in program history, defeating the program record the same team set on Thursday afternoon. The relay team of Kallyn Wilkins, Tyne Stokes, Maya Pearcy, and Grace Timm became the first Women's DMR team in program history to earn All-American honors. This is also the first All-American honor for all four Battlin' Bears.

The Battlin' Bears finished with two All-Americans in the Men's Pole Vault, led by Red Lodge High School graduates Jay Jetmore and Braden Tomlin. Both Battlin' Bears entered the competition at 4.65 meters (15' 3"). Tomlin cleared his opening height on the first attempt, with Jetmore following on his second attempt. At the next height of 4.80 meters (15' 9"), Tomlin would again clear the height on his first attempt, with Jetmore following him on his second attempt. Although Tomlin would bow out at 44.80 meters to tie for 7th overall, Jetmore would then clear the next height of 4.85 meters (15' 11") to take 5th overall. The top seven finishes earned All-American honors for both Battlin' Bears, the first of their careers at Rocky, and they both become the first Battlin' Bears in program history to earn All-American honors in the Pole Vault.
