Timm and Schoenfeld Earn All-Conference Honors in the Steeplechase; LaMere, Smith, Svec Set Program Records at Montana Open

MISSOULA, Mont.- Grace Timm and Rylie Schoenfeld earned top-three finishes in the 3k Steeplechase Championship event, while three Rocky men broke program records at the Montana Open on Saturday. 

Women's Notable Results 

Grace Timm and Rylie Schoenfeld impressed in the Steeplechase, as Timm finished second overall with a time of 11:40.88 and Schoenfeld finished fourth overall with a time of 12:15.70 (Third place in the Frontier Conference with Abigail Kotran of the University of Montana placing third). Timm's finish ranked tenth in program history. 

Maya Pearcy ran a personal best in the 800-meter, finishing second overall with a time of 2:15.21, the fifth-fastest time in program history. 

Kallyn Wilkins took second overall in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:47.84. 

Hannah Geisen ran a personal best of 19:04.10 in the 5,000 meters, placing fourth overall. 

Charlize Davis placed third in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.03, tying the fifth-best mark in program history. She also placed seventh in the high jump (1.42m) and fifth in the long jump (5.46m). 

Men's Notable Results 

For the second consecutive week, Corbyn Svec broke his own program record in the 3k Steeplechase, crossing the line in 9:46.68, taking sixth overall and fifth in the Frontier Conference Championship event. Connor Chase finished eighth overall (Seventh in the championship event) with a time of 10:30.49, the tenth-best time in program history. 

Ryan LaMere surpassed a mark he's been chasing all season, surpassing the seven-year-old program record in the 100-meter, finishing with a time of 10.93 seconds to place eighth overall. LaMere also took ninth in the 200-meter with a time of 22.24 seconds, the second-best time in program history. 

After tying the program record earlier this season, Campbell Smith surpassed the program record in the high jump, leaping 1.88 meters (6 feet, 2 inches) to take fifth overall. 

Matthew Conrad and Caleb Tomac were the top NAIA finishers in the 1,500 meters, as Conrad placed fourth with a time of 4:02.02 and Tomac followed on his heels in fifth with a time of 4:02.95.

Rocky Track and Field will now turn their attention to the Frontier Conference Championships, beginning next Sunday, May 4th, in Helena.
