MARION, Ind.- A pair of decorated Battlin' Bear seniors capped off their careers on Friday, as Jay Jetmore earned All-American honors in the pole vault and Grace Timm placed 12th in the steeplechase.

Jay Jetmore earned his second career All-American honor on Friday, finishing fifth overall with a vault of 4.80 meters (15 feet, 9 inches) to score four points for the Rocky men. Jetmore entered the competition at 4.75 meters, clearing it on his second attempt. He then cleared his final height of 4.80 meters on the second attempt as well. The senior passed the next two heights, entering back into the competition at 4.95 meters, but bowed out of the competition after three attempts at a new program record height. Jetmore concludes his Battlin' Bear career as one of the more decorated student-athletes in program history, totaling two All-American honors in the pole vault, four All-Conference honors, and the program records in the 200-meters in indoors and both indoor and outdoor pole vault.

Grace Timm wrapped up a busy week at the NAIA National Championships, running her fourth race in three days. She finished 12th overall in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:16.23. She concluded her two-year Rocky T/F career with two All-American finishes (4x800m Relay & Distance Medley Relay), six All-Conference honors in track and field, the program records in the steeplechase and 4x800 meter in outdoors, and the program record in the Distance Medley Relay in indoors.

The Battlin' Bears conclude their 2024-25 season, taking third place in the Frontier Conference Championships, earning six individual national qualifiers along with one relay team. At the NAIA National Championships, the Battlin' Bears totaled three All-American honors and return a bulk of their national qualifiers to next year's squad.
