Rocky Ski Racing Turns in Strong Efforts at Wild West FIS

SNOWKING, Wyo.- Rocky Ski saw multiple top-ten efforts in Wyoming as they turn their attention to their first conference meet, beginning Sunday. 

Women's GS Results (Day 2)

Elisabeth Grimkelsrud was the top placer for Rocky on Thursday, placing 20th with a total time of 1:55.05 after recording a top-15 time in the second heat. Franziska Bonn finished in 31st with a time of 1:59.49, with Klara Almqvist following in 32nd with a time of 1:59.90. Paige Heinz rounded out Rocky's competitors in 64th place with a total time of 2:17.84. 

Men's SL Results (Day 2)

Rocky's men recorded three top-ten finishes on Thursday, led by a fourth-place finish by Aniol Torres, totaling a time of 1:22.27, including the second fastest run of the first heat in 42.26 seconds. Fredrik Straume followed in sixth place with a total time of 1:22.75, highlighted by the best time of the field in round two (39.10). Jules Clerice, the individual winner on Wednesday, placed tenth with a total time of 1:23.59. 

Daen Bruin finished in 26th with a time of 1:26.54, while Ashton Fretwell rounded out the Battlin' Bear competitors in 47th with a time of 1:33.17. 

Women's SL Results (Day 3)

Elisabeth Grimkelsrud continued a strong weekend with an eighth-place finish, totaling a time of 1:38.13. Linnea Olesen placed 14th overall with a total time of 1:40.06, while Jenny Sjøtun followed in 17th place with a time of 1:40.58. Paige Heinz rounded out the Battlin' Bear competitors in 48th place with a time of 1:57.00. 

Men's SL Results (Day 3)

Fredrik Straume highlighted the afternoon with a seventh-place finish, totaling a time of 1:35.60, including the fastest run of the field on the second heat (47.67). Nick Tibro followed in 13th place with a total time of 1:36.52, rounding out Rocky's finishers on Friday.
