Program Records and Qualifying Marks Roll in For Rocky T/F in Bozeman at the Winter Series Meet No. 1

BOZEMAN, Mont.- Rocky Track and Field turned in a standout performance in Bozeman on Friday, totaling multiple program records and NAIA qualifying marks. 

Note: Altitude adjustments for distance events have not yet been finalized; updated results will be posted here when available. 

Men's Notable Results

Freshman Raynor Ranum set a new program record and a "B" standard toss of 16.19 meters (53 feet, 1.5 inches). He becomes just the second Battlin' Bear thrower in program history to record a qualifying mark, doing so in just his fourth collegiate meet.  

John Spinti won the 5,000 meters with a program-record time of 14:48.05, the top mark in the Frontier Conference this season. Justin Glass (15:30.49) and Caleb Tomac (15:30.53) also ran top-ten marks in program history, finishing third and fourth, respectively. 

Ryan LaMere broke the program record in the 200-meter, winning the event with a finish of 21.90 seconds. Drifter Skillicorn followed with the second-best finish in program history in third overall with a time of 22.53 seconds. 

LaMere also placed second overall in the men's 60-meter, crossing the line in 6.96 seconds, the second-best mark in program history. 

Logan Hughes won the weight throw with a final mark of 17.36 meters (56 feet, 11.5 inches). 

Freshmen Keenan Morris and Theron Klebe tied for the best marks of the field in the pole vault, both finishing with a mark of 4.45 meters (14 feet, 7.25 inches). 

The Battlin' Bear 4x300-meter relay team of Aiden Lantis, Ryan LaMere, Jack Phelps, and Drifter Skillicorn won the event with a time of 2:26.71. 

Taycen Genatone ran the third-best mark in program history in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing third overall with a time of 8.66 seconds. 

Campbell Smith finished third overall in the high jump with a final mark of 1.79 meters (5 feet, 10.50 inches). 

Women's Notable Results

Brooke Wirkkala recorded the first qualifying mark of her career, breaking her own program record with a high jump finish of 1.66 meters (5 feet, 5.25 inches) to win the event. She also finished second in the high jump with a final mark of 5.39 meters. 

Maya Pearcy won the 600 meters with a blazing time of 1:35.37, a B-Standard mark, and a program record. 

Charlize Davis won the 60-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 8.87 seconds, the third-best time in program history. Davis also finished second in the 60-meter with a finish of 7.92 seconds. 

Hannah Christman finished second in the pole vault with a final mark of 2.95 meters (9 feet, 8 inches). 

Jayden Woodland placed fourth in the 5,000-meters with a time of 18:48.59.

Rocky Track and Field will travel to Bozeman next Friday to compete in the Winter Series Meet - No. 1.
