Rocky Men’s and Women’s DMR Teams Qualify at the Winter Series Meet on Friday

BOZEMAN, Mont.- Rocky's Men's and Women's Distance Medley Relay teams earned qualifying runs in their final regular season meet before next weekend's Frontier Conference Championships. 

Men's Notable Results

The Rocky Men's Distance Medley Relay team of Caleb Tomac, Drifter Skillicorn, Ashtyn Rask, and John Spinti ran a 'B' Standard time of 10:16.38, winning the event in Bozeman. 

Logan Hughes won the Weight Throw event, tossing a top mark of 17.27 meters (56 feet, 8 inches). His toss ranks fifth in program history, as he now holds the top nine marks in program history. 

Ryan LaMere finished second in the 60 Meters with a time of 7.05 seconds, adding another top ten mark in program history. Taycen Genatone followed in fifth place with a time of 7.23 seconds. 

LaMere also placed third in the 200 Meters, crossing the finish line in 22.00 seconds, the second-fastest time in program history. 

Keenan Morris placed second in the pole vault with a final mark of 4.65 meters (15 feet, 3 inches). Scott Hunsaker followed in third with a vault of 4.35 meters (14 feet, 3.25 inches). 

Raynor Ranum placed second in the Shot Put with a mark of 15.33 meters (50 feet, 3.5 inches). 

Campbell Smith finished second in the High Jump with a final mark of 1.79 meters (5 feet, 10.5 inches). 

Taycen Genatone recorded the sixth-fastest 60-Meter hurdle time in program history following a fifth-place finish and a time of 8.77 seconds. 

Women's Notable Results

The Rocky Women's Distance Medley Relay team of Maya Pearcy, Rylie Schoenfeld, Kallyn Wilkins, and Jayden Woodland earned a qualifying run, winning the event in Bozeman and a 'B' Standard time of 12:24.35. The Battlin' Bears finished with All-American honors in the DMR last season. 

Charlize Davis improved on her 'B' Standard time for this season, running a new season-best 8.69 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles. She leads the Frontier Conference with the top mark of the season. 

Brooke Wirkkala won the women's high jump with a final mark of 1.61 meters (5 feet, 3.25 inches). She also finished third in the long jump with a mark of 5.33 meters (17 feet, 6 inches). 

Aislynn Campbell inches closer to the program record in the weight throw, tossing the second-best mark in program history at 13.22 meters (43 feet, 4.5 inches) to place sixth overall.
