Rocky Ski Gains Valuable Experience at NCAA University of Nevada Invitational

MT. ROSE SKI TAHOE, Calif.- Rocky Ski wrapped up their weekend against a strong field in California yesterday, looking ahead to this weekend's resumption of USCSA Conference competition.  

Saturday's Slalom Results

Franziska Bonn was the lone Battlin' Bear finisher on the women's side, placing 22nd overall with a total time of 1:46.32. 

Jules Clerice led the men's side with a 17th-place finish, totaling a time of 1:39.02, while Askel Stroemberg followed in 20th place with an overall time of 1:40.05, including the third fastest run of the field on run two, finishing in 48.70 seconds. 

Sunday's Slalom Results

Linnea Olesen was the lone finisher for both the men and women on Sunday, placing 32nd overall with a total time of 1:59.69. 

Monday's Giant Slalom Results

Fredrik Straume was the leading finisher for the Battlin' Bears on the first day of Giant Slalom competition, finishing 31st overall with a total time of 1:57.37. Nick Tibro followed in 34th with a time of 1:58.11, while Jules Clerice rounded out Rocky's finishers in 35th overall, totaling a time of 1:58.24. 

In the Women's Giant Slalom, Linnea Olesen was again Rocky's leading finisher, placing 35th overall with a total time of 2:10.13. Franziska Bonn followed right behind in 36th overall, with a total time of 2:12.64. 

Tuesday's Giant Slalom Results

Nick Tibro highlighted the Battlin' Bear effort on the final day, finishing 33rd overall with a time of 2:02.76. Jules Clerice followed with a 36th-place finish, totaling a time of 2:03.90. 

On day two of the Women's Giant Slalom, Linnea Olesen was the lone finisher for the Battlin' Bears, finishing 28th overall with a time of 2:09.07. 

Up Next

The Battlin' Bears return to conference action this weekend, competing in the USCSA Grand Teton/Rocky Meet at Crested Butte Mountain in Colorado.
