Rocky Football Announces 2026 Schedule

BILLINGS, Mont.- Rocky Football announces its 2026 Football schedule under first-year Head Coach Randy Bandelow. 

The Battlin' Bears will play 10 games in 2026, including five road games, four home games on Herb Klindt Field, and a neutral-site contest. Rocky's opening game of the season will be announced at a later date and will feature a neutral-site, non-conference opponent. 

Following the season opener, the Battlin' Bears will play two non-divisional Frontier Conference games on the road, traveling to College of Idaho on Saturday, September 5th, and to Montana Western on Saturday, September 19th, following a September 12th bye week. 

Rocky returns to Herb Klindt Field for their first home game of the season on September 26th, taking on Carroll College. An anticipated matchup that will see Head Coach Randy Bandelow take on his prior institution will also be played under the lights in the Rocky Bowl with a 6:00 pm (MT) kickoff, the first night game played on Herb Klindt Field since 2023.  

The Battlin' Bears will begin their six-game East Division schedule at home on October 3rd, taking on Valley City State. Alternating home and away for the remainder of the season, Rocky will also take on MSU-Northern (October 24th) and Dakota State (November 7th) at home, while traveling to Dickinson State (October 17th), Montana Tech (October 31st), and Mayville State (November 14th). 

The Battlin' Bears will have their second bye week of the season on October 10th, following their divisional opener at home. 

Rocky Football concludes its spring ball with the Annual Spring Game this Saturday, April 18th, at noon, with tailgate areas opening at 10 am. Tailgate admission and game admission will be free to the public. 

All game times, as well as information regarding ticketing and tailgate purchases, will be announced in the coming months.
