MISSOULA, Mont. – No. 21 ranked Rocky Mountain College finished in second behind University of Montana at the Montana Invitational in Missoula, Montana on Friday evening. Finishing ahead of every NAIA school which included Frontier Conference rivals Carroll College and Montana Western, the Battlin' Bears finished with a team score of 63.
Finishing in seventh,
Ruth Chepsat led the Battlin' Bears with a time of 18:33.90 in the 5K race. The time ranked sixth among scoring runners.
Sydney Little Light finished in 13th overall and tenth among qualified runners with a time of 19:15.30.
Running a time of 19:41.00,
Mei-Li Stevens finished in 17th overall and ranked 12th among scoring runners.
Carina Bracy finished in 23rd and 17th among qualified runners on a time of 20:23.90 while
Carrie Daniels finished immediately behind her with a time of 20:26.80.
Larissa Saarel finished in 30th on a time of 21:00.20 while Grace Gilliland finished in 32nd with a time 21:24.20.
