BILLINGS, Mont., December 4, 2019 – Rocky Mountain College head volleyball coach
Yang Yang announced Thursday that Veronica Knott has signed a Letter of Intent to join the Battlin' Bears for the 2020 season.
From Parker, Colo., the 5-foot-8-inch outside hitter will join the Battlin' Bears next season after graduating from Legend High School. Knott played volleyball for four years with the Titans and helped lead the team to the semifinals in the Colorado Class 5A State Tournament.
"We are always excited when a student like Veronica joins the team," said Yang. "Her effort on the court is matched only by her effort in the classroom."
An honor roll student, Knott earned academic all-state first team honors in 2019 for track and field and volleyball. She plans to pursue a degree in aeronautical science at Rocky Mountain College with the goal of becoming a commercial airline pilot.
"When I visited the campus and had the chance to practice with the team, I felt welcomed and was glad that I would get the opportunity to play volleyball while getting an education," said Knott. "The aviation program here interested me very much as well and was more affordable for me than other schools I visited."
