BROOKINGS, S.D. –  Having finished semifinals, the Battlin' Bears are set to compete in the finals of two events Saturday during the 2019 NAIA Men's Indoor Track and Field Championship.

On Thursday, Rocky's distance medley relay team finished fourth in the semifinals. The team, consisting of Elijah Boyd, Brenden Leaming, Joseph Vanden Bos, and Isaac Petsch,  finished second in their heat. They will compete tomorrow at 4:40 p.m. CST.

On Friday, Isaac Petsch qualified for the finals in the men's mile. He ran a time of 4:21.70 to finish in ninth and will compete tomorrow at 12:35 p.m. CST.

Elijah Boyd just barely missed qualifying for finals with a tenth place finish in the men's 800m. He ran a personal best time of 1:55.98.

The 2019 NAIA Men's Indoor Track and Field National Championships will conclude tomorrow at the Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, S.D.
