More School Records and NAIA Qualifiers Set as Rocky Track and Field Competes in the Inland Northwest Invitational

SPOKANE, Wash.- Sydney Little Light and Braden Tomlin each added another Rocky school record under their belts to highlight Rocky Track and Field's performance at the Podium in Spokane Saturday.

Sydney Little Light took first place in the women's 800 meter, finishing in 2:14.96, setting a new Rocky record and another NAIA A-Standard qualifying time for Little Light, her third qualified event of the season. Little Light also finished in second place in the women's 3000 meters, finishing in 10:07.80, around five seconds behind Najwa Chouati of Stanislaus State. 

Jackson Wilson was the other Battlin' Bear to take an individual victory Saturday, as he took first place in the men's 3000 meter with a time of 8:36.05, an NAIA B-Standard qualifying time. Teammate Justin Glass also competed in the men's 3000 meter and finished in seventh place with a time of 9:04.28. 

Braden Tomlin broke his own school record in the men's triple jump, a record he set just a week before in Bozeman, by jumping 12.99 meters to finish fifth in the men's triple jump. Tomlin also competed in the men's long jump, finishing in 16th after a longest jump of 5.96 meters. 

Kellen Wahl produced a solid day, finishing tied for ninth place in the women's 60 meter dash with a time of 7.99 seconds, while also finishing in 11th in the women's 200 meter with a time of 26.63 seconds. 

Freshman Seth Petsch finished in sixth place in the men's 800 meter, finishing with a time of 2:00.30.

The Battlin' Bears will return to Spokane in two weeks for the Whitworth Invitational.
