Rocky Golf Falls in Final Day of Grob/Spalding Cup

BILLINGS, Mont.- Rocky Men's and Women's Golf were unable to defend the Grob and Spalding Cups on Saturday, falling in a Rimrock Rivalry matchup.

Valentina Zuleta, Kadence Fischer, and Breana Jensen all grabbed singles victories on Saturday. The Battlin' Bears fell one point short of retaining the Spalding Cup, being outscored 5-3 on the day and 8.5-7.5 on the weekend.

On the men's side, Aidan McDonagh, Jared Smith, and Daniel Sigurjonsson all earned singles victories on the day. Tristan Hanson tied in his matchup, earning a half point. Trailing entering the day, the Rocky men were unable to erase the deficit they faced, losing the Grob Cup this season 13-7.

The Battlin' Bears will return to action on Monday and Tuesday in the Yellowjacket Invitational, hosted at Lake Hills Golf Club.
