Rocky Golf Concludes Fall Season With Finish at Firestorm Invitational Tuesday

BUCKEYE, Ariz.- The Battlin' Bears wrapped up their fall season with a fourth place finish for the women and a sixth place finish for the men on Tuesday.

On the men's side, Daniel Sigurjonsson led the way, placing 10th overall, shooting a three-over-par 219 (73,75,71). Jake Johnson followed just behind him with a 12th overall finish, shooting four-over-par 220. Jared Smith shot five-over-par 221, Will Dexheimer shot nine-over-par 225, Aidan McDonagh shot 11-over-par 227, and Leon Doedtmann shot 15-over-par 231 to round out the Battlin' Bear competitors.

Rocky finished sixth overall with a team score of 891 (301, 295, 295). University of British Columbia took home the team honors with a team score of 863.

The Rocky women were led by Valentina Zuleta, who finished tied for sixth overall, shooting an eight-over-par 152. Tyla Potgieter finished a stroke behind her tied for 10th overall, shooting nine-over-par 153. Kadence Fischer and Grace Metcalf rounded out the top-20 overall, shooting 19-over par 163 and 20-over-par 164, respectively. Landri Paladichuk shot 30-over-par 170 and Isabella Downing shot 33-over-par 173 to round out the Rocky competitors.

The Battlin' Bears finished fourth overall with a team score of 633 (323, 310). Ottawa University-Arizona took home the team victory with a team score of 584.

Rocky Golf will resume their season in the spring when they host the RMC Intercollegiate at Reflection Bay Golf Club on March 5th and 6th.
