Wilson Runs Qualifying Time to Highlight Rocky’s Performance at the Trudnowski Open

HELENA, Mont.-  Jackson Wilson ran the eighth fastest 5000-Meter time in the NAIA this season to lead the Battlin' Bears at the Trudnowski Open in Helena. 

Rocky Women's Highlights

Kellan Wahl finished Saturday with two second place finishes, one being in the 100-Meter (12.99) and the other being in the 200-Meter (27.11). Teammate Jenna Hillman finished in sixth in the 100-Meter (14.12) and fifth in the 200-Meter (28.53). 

Rylie Schoenfeld finished in fifth place in a tight field in the 800-Meter with a time of 2:32.44. 

Rocky had two top-5 finishers in the 1500-Meters, led by Sydney Little Light's victory, finishing in 4:48.72. Kallyn Wilkins finished in third place with a time of 5:09.39. 

After both setting school records last week in Great Falls, Brooke Wirkkala and Lauryn Frideres turned in great performances again. Wirkkala finished in fourth place in the High Jump with a finishing mark of 1.50 meters. Wirkkala also took second place in the Long Jump with a final mark of 4.86 meters. Frideres finished in third place in both the Long Jump (4.82 m) and Triple Jump (10.06 m).

Rocky's 4x800-Meter Relay took second place with a time of 10:23.50.

Rocky Men's Highlights

Dylan Cleary ran a season best time in the 200-Meters to net a fourth place finish, finishing in 23.47 seconds. 

Seth Petsch took the victory in the Men's 800-Meters with a time of 1:57.41, with teammate Eric Morgan finishing in fourth place in 2:05.38.

Jackson Wilson ran an NAIA A-Standard time in his victory in the Men's 5000-Meter, finishing in 14:51.34. Wilson's adjusted time of 14:34.44 ranks eighth in the NAIA this season. 

Cameron Hone won the Pole Vault with a final vault of 4.12 meters.

Christian Gonzalez finished in fourth place in the Men's Long Jump with a mark of 5.88 meters. 

The Battlin' Bears will compete in the Montana Open on April 21st and 22nd, which is their final competition before the Frontier Conference Championship Meet on April 27th and 28th, held at Lockwood High School.
