GAME NOTES: Rocky Soccer Begins Conference Play Against University of Providence and Carroll College at Home

BILLINGS, Mont.-  The Battlin' Bears kick off their conference schedule as they host University of Providence and Carroll College at home this weekend.

Quick Notes (Men's)

- The Rocky Men are a combined 25-14 against these two programs all time, including a perfect 12-0 against Carroll. 
- Angel Mange was named CCC Offensive Player of the Week, the first Battlin' Bear male soccer player to earn the honor since April 2021. 
- The Battlin' Bears were great at home a season ago, finishing
the season 6-1 on Wendy's Field last season.

- The Rocky Women are a combined 44-34-10 against these two programs all time. 
- Friday's match with University of Providence marks the first contest of Cascade Conference play for the 2023 season.

- The Battlin' Bears scored five goals in their non-conference match versus the Argos this season. They also accomplished the feat a season ago, which tied their season high in 2022. 
- Halle Labert is one of only two individuals in the Cascade with a penalty kick goal so far this season. 
- The Battlin' Bears rank fourth in the Cascade in shot % so far this season. 

Defensive Notes (Men's)

- The Battlin' Bears defense has held their opponents to only 19 shots on goal through the first four games. 
- Stefan Schenk saved five shots in the victory over Jamestown, which ties the second most in a single game in his career. 
        
Defensive Notes (Women's)

- In their first victory of the season over the Argos, Rocky didn't allow any corner kicks. 
- Co-Captains Morgan Maack and Hannah Lane have played all 90 minutes in each of the first three games this season. 
- The Rocky defense is looking for their first clean sheet of the season, a feat they accomplished six times in the 2022 season.
