PREVIEW: Rocky Track and Field Competes in Pocatello on Friday

BILLINGS, Mont. - Rocky Track and Field hits the road for their first competition of 2024 as they compete in the Stacy Dragila Open on Friday in Pocatello, Idaho. 

Battlin' Bear Recap

The indoor season has featured just one competition this season when the Battlin' Bears traveled to Bozeman to compete in the Bobcat PReview. In their first competition, four school records were broken. Braden Tomlin was the first Battlin' Bear to clinch his spot in the NAIA Indoor Track National Championship with his new school record vault of 4.75 meters. His qualifying mark ties him for the sixth-best in the NAIA this season. Kellan Wahl finished the 60 meters in 7.82 and her sister, Kendall Wahl, grabbed a school record of her own, hitting a mark of 10.68 meters in the triple jump. Freshman Drifter Skillicorn was the fourth school record breaker, recording a final jump of 6.44 meters in the men's long jump.

Rocky Track and Field heads to Pocatello, Idaho to compete in the Stacy Dragila Open, hosted by Idaho State University. They'll be accompanied by Frontier foes Montana Western, Carroll College, and Montana Tech, as well as host Idaho State and NCAA Division I Southern Utah and NCAA Division II and former Frontier Conference member Westminster College.
