Rocky Track and Field Records Four School Records and Three National Qualifiers at Friday’s Stacy Dragila Open

POCATELLO, Idaho - Rocky Track and Field turned in an impressive showing at the Stacy Dragila Open, highlighted by Jackson Wilson's NAIA-best finish in the 3,000 meters. 

Jackson Wilson highlighted the day with a first-place finish in the 3,000 meters with an A-Standard qualifying adjusted time of 8:08.8, the fastest time in the NAIA this season by over eight seconds. His finish also marks a new school record. 

Braden Tomlin improved on his school record and A-qualifying mark, clearing 4.90 meters in the pole vault, good enough for second place overall in a field of NAIA and NCAA DI opponents. His new personal best and school record ranks third in the NAIA this season. 

It was a good afternoon for Rocky pole vaulters, as Dakota Manecke set a new career-best mark and school record of 3.54 meters. Her mark was a B-Standard qualifying vault that ranks 16th in the NAIA this season. 

Drifter Skillicorn also improved on his own school record, finishing fourth overall in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.71 meters. 

The Battlin' Bears will be back in action beginning February 1st in Spokane, where they will compete in the Riverfront Invitational & Multi Event, hosted at The Podium.
