PREVIEW: (RV) Rocky Women’s Basketball Continues Non-Conference Schedule in Oregon

EUGENE, Ore.- Rocky Women's Basketball will look to build off their weekend sweep in Idaho last weekend with two matchups in Oregon on Friday and Saturday.

Game Notes

On the Road 
The Battlin' Bears will hit the road again, traveling to Eugene, Oregon to continue a run against Cascade Collegiate Conference opponents, this time against Multnomah and Bushnell University. 

Everybody Eats
Rocky's offense has been versatile to begin the season, with all five starters averaging double-digit scoring. Freshman Isabelle Heggem has scored ten or more points in three of her first four collegiate games while shooting 67.9% from the field. 

Defensive Masterclass
The Battlin' Bears have played well defensively over their past three games, holding their opponents to a combined 54.3 points per game, including just 25.3 % shooting from three-point range. 

Scouting the Lions
Multnomah will enter the weekend seeking their first victory of the season, including losses to Montana Tech, Pacific University, and an exhibition loss to Western Oregon.  The Lions will look to improve on a 6-22 record in 2023-24, led by newcomer Makayla Tokrornoo, who is their leading scorer to begin the season averaging 18.0 points per game. 
  
Scouting the Beacons
Bushnell will play host to the Battlin' Bears on Saturday afternoon after winning their first game of the season on Tuesday against Hope International. The Beacons finished the 2023-24 season with a record of 16-13, returning two of their top scorers from last season, post Libby Mathis and guard Ayden Krupke.
