School Records and Personal Bests Fall at the Bobcat Performance for Rocky Track and Field

BOZEMAN, Mont.- Three school records and numerous personal bests were set as Rocky Track and Field competed at the Bobcat Performance. 

Dakota Manecke improved on her school record mark in the women's pole vault, recording a new personal best of 3.56 meters. Her new mark ranks 17th in the NAIA this season. 

Jenna Hillman and Maya Pearcy crossed the finish line ahead of the previous indoor school record in the 400 meters. Hillman crossed in 1:01.18, with Pearcy narrowly behind in 1:01.19. Teammate Kellan Wahl held the previous record with a time of 1:02.22. Tyne Stokes followed shortly behind at 1:02.42, helping Rocky grab three of the top four spots in the women's 400. 

Freshman Charlize Davis improved on her school record time in the 60-meter hurdles with a finish of 9.19 seconds in the prelims, before finishing in 9.29 seconds in the finals, grabbing fifth place. 

Matthew Conrad came just under three seconds shy of the NAIA B-Standard in the men's mile, finishing with a personal best of 4:19.99. Zachary Zwiesler followed behind with a personal best of his own in 4:25.97. 

Joseph Orndorff and Corbyn Svec each tallied new personal bests in the 3,000 meters, with Orndorff finishing in 8:48.26 and Svec in 8:49.16. 

Grace Timm, Taylen Stinson, and Kallyn Wilkins all finished in the top four in the women's mile within three seconds of each other. Wilkins' time of 5:27.65 was a new personal best. Violet Carter also recorded a new best in the mile, crossing in 6:17.71. 

Brooke Wirkkala grabbed a second-place finish in the women's high jump with a season-high mark of 1.47 meters. Wirkkala also recorded a season-high mark in the long jump, taking third place with a mark of 5.07 meters. Kendall Wahl finished sixth with a personal best of 4.93 meters and took third place in the women's triple jump with a final mark of 10.58 meters. 

Aiden Lantis (7.37), Chad Lindsey (7.42), Dylan Cleary (7.45), and Carter McCauley (7.54) all recorded personal bests in the men's 60 meters. 

Robby Gress tallied two new personal bests on Friday, with a 24.72-second finish in the 200 meters and a 9.02-second finish in the 60-meter hurdles finals, placing fifth overall. Drifter Skillicorn also recorded a personal best in the 400 meters with a time of 53.41 seconds. 

Freshman Isabella Yellowtail recorded a new personal best of 10.04 meters in the weight throw. 

The Battlin' Bears will return to Bozeman in just a week when they compete in the Big Sky Tuner Meet, the final opportunity to qualify for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championship Meet in Brookings, South Dakota, which begins February 29th.
