GAINESVILLE, Fla.- The Battlin' Bears set a new program record by nearly 20 seconds as they earned a spot in Saturday's DMR Finals in Gainesville. 

The Battlin' Bears finished sixth in their heat and ninth overall with a time of 12:05.28. The top three finishing teams from both heats advance to the finals, and the following four fastest times of the field, which the Battlin' Bears clinched. They will move on to race in the Women's DMR Finals on Saturday at 2:20 pm (MT) / 4:20 pm (ET). 

The team of Kallyn Wilkins, Maya Pearcy, Tyne Stokes, and Grace Timm shattered the previous program record set in 2023 of 12:24.09. The Rocky DMR team entered the competition with the 13th best entry time of the field, after running an altitude converted time of 12:17.13 at the Mountain State Games.

After anchoring the Battlin' Bears DMR team on Thursday, Grace Timm will lead off the competition on Friday morning at 9:45 a.m. (MT) in the Mile prelims, followed by Charlize Davis competing in the 60-meter hurdle prelims at 10:30 a.m. (MT).
