GAINESVILLE, Fla.- The Battlin' Bear Women's Distance Medley Relay team of Maya Pearcy, Rylie Schoenfeld, Kallyn Wilkins, and Jayden Woodland advanced to Saturday's finals following a tenth-place finish on Thursday afternoon. 

The Rocky Women's DMR team, fourth-place finishers and All-American award winners a season ago, finished fifth in their heat with a time of 12:14.69. The top three finishing teams in each heat advanced to the finals, along with the next four fastest times. The Battlin' Bears finished fifth in their heat and were the fourth non-automatic qualifier in the event. 

The Women's DMR finals will be run at 2:40 pm (MT) on Saturday. 

The Battlin' Bear men's DMR team of Caleb Tomac, Drifter Skillicorn, Zachary Zwiesler, and Justin Glass finished 20th overall with a time of 10:28.31. The Battlin' Bears finished ninth in their heat. The race marked the first appearance in the NAIA Track and Field National Championships for all four Battlin' Bears in their careers.
